Biodiversity is the very basis of human survival. It has great economic, aesthetic and spiritual values. However, in the recent years, there has been a great loss to our biodiversity due to climate change and various anthropogenic activities. This has compelled us to make urgent and serious steps for biodiversity conservation. Biodiversity conservation is a global issue and biodiversity loss affects each and every one. Both in situ and ex situ methods of biodiversity conservation are equally important. The traditional beliefs and practices, too, can play an important role in biodiversity conservation. In addition to various conventional methods of conservation, new strategies need to be developed. This book is a collection of articles and research papers on biodiversity conservation.
