Sustainable agriculture can feed the world without damaging the environment or threatening human health. It is a way of growing food in an ecologically and ethically responsible manner. Sustainable crop production practices can lead to higher yields over time, with less need for expensive and environmentally damaging inputs. Organic farming can generally be classified as sustainable agriculture. A challenge of our generation is the creation of an efficient system providing sustainable food and fuel from the land whilst also preserving biodiversity and ecosystems.
