In Black Mosaic: Essays for Post-Racial America, Richard Kenyada assesses the progress we've made in our quest to find the key element that unites us as Americans and, further, as human beings. The term "post racial"popped up after the first Obama victory, but the mood of the country has not reflected that kind of hope. In many ways, Americans seem to be drawing their own lines in the sand.
