Blessed is My Soul

                In the completeness if surrender, I cried out to God. And - He answered. He did so by igniting a passion for writing within me. Poetic verses seemed to flow like a gentle river through my mind. He soothed my spirit through this remarkable gift. A literal snapshot of almost every emotion I was experiencing was captured through the words that He provided.                                                  Helping me to write of the immense and consuming grief I felt following the death of my mother, God provided the healing avenue I needed to not only overcome, but to grow stronger. Sitting quietly in His presence, He would hold me. His embrace was tangible. His presence waswithout doubt.                                                                                                                                                                                                   He allowed this unique writing relationship with Him to continue even after I began to heal. With His help, I became more aware of His presence in my life. He does not leave me to go through anything alone. He is just as much with me when I am sinking as He is when I am soaring. He restored my ability to feel joy, to see beauty, and to know peace.

We, as humans, all experience the same kinds of feelings. This book depicts my own personal journey through some of these feelings. But, most importantly, it portrays God's complete devotion to seeing me through.

The photos He has allowed me to capture set the stages. The poems He has helped me to word are the plays. Each play captures a moment of raw emotion. Joy, sorrow, fear, helplessness, hopelessness, complete peace, and sheer bliss are just some of the story lines; but God's unending grace is always the common theme.
