Book 3. Sacred Hills. The Battle of the Druids.

The holy city of Armagh is ruled by the arch druid Cathbad. To confront both external and internal enemies of the kingdom of Ulster-Ulaid, he is helped by the faithful assistant female druid Moyriot and the young successor Mangor.
Widow Deichtine, also known as Lady of Tailtiu, leaves her castle and travels to Tara. King Conaire intends to make her his concubine. However, he is in no hurry to share a love bed with her. The appearance of a new concubine causes a storm of emotions and gossip at the royal court. Corrie, the lady's faithful servant, meets the clurichaun, an ancient mythical creature, in the wine cellar. Clurichaun sympathizes with the girl, because it is hard for her to live in a new place. He points out to her the place where the ancient treasure is buried. Exquisite gold jewelry appears at the handmaid Corrie.
The Beltane holiday is approaching. The King, Lady of Tailtiu and the royal retinue leave Tara and head to the Sacred Valley to celebrate Beltane. Druids perform magical rituals. On the night of Beltane, the king intends to share a bed of love with Lady of Tailtiu and to conceive an heir to her.
A woman cannot resist the will of the king. After intercourse with the king, she leaves his marquee and goes into the forest. There she meets a deer. This is the god Cernunnos. The deer takes the form of a man and seduces the lady. The woman gives herself to him with all her passion. At dawn, she returns to her marquee, her neck adorned with a gold necklace presented to her by the deity. She did not yet know that she had conceived a child from Cernunnos.
Ingel One-eyed bastard son of King Conaire, ruler of the Kingdom of Oriel, dreams of overthrowing his father and seizing power. To do this, he enters into a criminal alliance with his mother's uncles, co-rulers of the Fermanagh kingdom. The conspirators attack the Oriel kingdom and ravage the capital, sacred Tara. The king is killed in battle.
Fleeing the villains, Deichtine hastily leaves Tara and returns to Armagh. Cathbad vigilantly takes care of her daughter, because according to the prophecy, it is Deichtine who will give birth to a baby who will later become king and unite the scattered kingdoms. Only then will the torn land of Ireland find peace and prosperity will come.
Deichtine marries the laird Fergus and, accompanied by Corrie and the female druid Moyriot, sets out for his domain. However, in Dundalk, she is in mortal danger. The laird's concubine and the disgraced druid want to destroy the newborn boy and Deichtine. Their machinations are actively opposed by Moyriot and Corrie.
Mangor, the successor of Cathbad, using the ancient magic of the Druids, summons the spirit of the war goddess Morrigan and leads the valiant warriors into a fierce battle with the hated enemy.
