Brazing is the ideal joining method for many tasks in model making, but also, for example, in the restoration of original vehicles. For some model building projects such as steam engines and boilers, this technique is even indispensable. But also, in ship and truck modelling or, for example, for special applications in aircraft modelling, brazing can be used to produce stable and durable joints. The author has gained experience with brazing in his profession and hobby for decades and passes it on in this book. The physical and chemical basics as well as materials and tools are explained in the same way as the extremely important safety aspects in this field. And, of course, the practical aspects of brazing are not neglected and are presented in all their diversity. With this book, brazing loses its reputation of being difficult and becomes a perfect addition to the working techniques of the model maker.
