The purpose of this reference book is to quickly suggest ideas for activities when you want to keep kids active and get them quickly interested, prevent boredom, and get their minds off annoying issues, irritability, and/or sedentary screen activities.

Although most activities are completely described, for conciseness we refer to sites online for very detailed or additional information on some of the activities since this book would be too voluminous if we were to detail and give additional information on all of them.

We started the book months ago since grandkids would visit us and sit around and vegetated on the couch with a laptop. We wrote it to give kids things to do indoors (and outdoors too) and not sit in front of a screen.

This book has a lot of fun and funny stuff as Dr. Gavin of the American Pediatric Assn. has said, "A sense of humor can brighten family life. You can blow raspberries on a baby's belly, put on a silly hat and chase a 3-year-old, or pretend to fall into a pile of leaves to amuse a first-grader. As kids grow into preteens and teens, you can share puns and jokes as their sense of what's funny grows more sophisticated. Laughing together is a way to connect, and a good sense of humor also can make kids smarter, healthier, and better able to cope with challenges." - Dr. Mary L. Gavin, M.D.

Review:
"Brilliant Screen-Free Stuff To Do With Kids: A Handy Reference for Parents and Grandparents" combines the expertise of the American Academy of pediatrics with activities for a variety of age ranges that are designed to prevent boredom and irritability. - Taylor Miller, Tyler Morning Tribune

We hope you and your children and grandchildren enjoy the large variety of ideas and activities in this new book and create many happy life-long memories! Get it now!
