Building Up Your Call In The House Of God

Sinners are called to repentance (Mt. 4:17, 9:13), believers are called to live Christ-like lives (I Cor. 1:26, 7:20, Eph. 4:1, Phil. 3:14, II Thess. 1:11), mature believers are called to ministry tasks (I Tim. 3:1-6). Every Christian is called to ministry (Mt. 11:29, 22:14, Jn. 7:37, 15:16). God always takes the initiative in calling believers to Himself (Jn. 6:44, 65, 15:16, I Cor. 1:12, Eph. 1:4-5, 11). God has called every believer to spread the Gospel (Mt. 28:19-20, Mk. 16:15, I Pet. 2:9). The call of God may be spectacular or ordinary/common. Once we know we are called to ministry, we should begin to prepare ourselves to fulfil that call. There is the call, there is the preparation/training, and then there is the commission.
