She had to learn to overcome the deaths of loved ones, sexual assaults, and financial hardships. Detours and getting lost completely changed her destination, and she put this dream of graduating on hold. As time passed, life caused her to think that she would not get back on this road.

After four attempts to go to college, Jayna believed it just would not happen for her. She had basically given up on her dream. Instead, she focused on her career and, later, motherhood. Well, she is here to say to never give up on your dreams because life may bless you in unexpected ways and when you least expect it. Jayna Bruch's atypical ride to life started in high school as circumstances began forcing her to put intermittent breaks on her college journey. From one of her best friends being diagnosed with cancer to overcoming sexual assault and dealing with a roommate who jeopardized her financially, Jayna couldn't possibly have a normal life, even if she wanted to. Regardless, it later dawned on her that it could never be too late for her dreams, and 35 years later, she graduated from Collin College as a member and officer of Phi Theta Kappa.
