To rise up, having become less: this is what I experienced often whilst teaching physically disabled pupils. Their attitude encouraged me.
Likewise, the attitude of parents at the 'Centre for Special Children' in Punjab, northern India, as well as that of the therapists working there, inspired me.
Similarly, meeting adults with physical disabilities, as well as those with mental challenges, emboldened me.
Thus, this book was born.
It is possible to live life with disabilities: be encouraged, be inspired, be emboldened.
