The journey of the Internet started in 1960 which was initially meant to be the passage for government scientists and scholars to share their research ideas and findings. Then for the next 30 years or so, the world has witnessed tons of groundbreaking innovations in the inter-communication systems. However, thanks to the genius mind of Sir Tim Berners-Lee (TimBL), the world got its first hypertext system. This system enabled TimBL to invent the World Wide Web (www). At that particular time, Sir Tim also created a new computing language called Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Since then, HTML remains as the core language of all websites till date.

On the other hand, in 1996 another technique was developed to make the web pages unique and attractive. It is the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). Hence, CSS is defined as the style language for making web pages attractive. Moreover, CSS is considered to be one of the building blocks of the web. Hence, even in today's' high tech-world, knowing CSS is still considered to be handy and an amazing tool to have in one's skill-set.
