It is difficult to quantify the number of crimes that can be committed online - cybercrimes - since victims do not always report it. However, statistics can help to understand the incidence of this criminal activity.

According to a 2011 Global Safety Survey, conducted in 78 countries. 25% of the companies surveyed have suffered cyberattacks in the last twelve-month period. This percentage means that one in four companies has suffered cyberattacks in the last twelve months.
