A reviewer on another website described this book as a rant. And it is. That's the point of the subtitle, One Woman's Personal Journey through the Sacrifice of Caring. It is MY journey through the sacrifice of caring because my life has been sacrificed for the care of my mother while my siblings don't even come near us. I have gone without a life, partners, kids, a home, friends, a job, career, a life...because it's been sacrificed. So yes, this book is a rant, an angry rant because that's what I am. Angry, hateful and resentful after nearly twenty years of having my life sacrificed and not knowing how the hell to get out of it unless one of us dies...or one of us wins a house or lotto. And this book is the story of it.
