When Allie's mom married Carter's dad, things didn't exactly turn out like the Brady Bunch. Carter was a skinny geek more interested in Minecraft and comic books than his new stepsister--which suited Allie just fine. They barely spoke in the few months he was at home, and when he went overseas for school, it seemed like he was out of her life for good.
