In Gemma's case, it is the disastrous workplace affair from which she is just emerging that prompts her adoring husband and her to leave England for Corsica's majesty.

One adult daughter gives her support: her son Robert is diametrically opposed. But she and Jonathon choose what seems like the perfect home and open a self catering business. For a time, it goes well. But family life is not smooth and becomes beset with major crises.
