My name is James Bennett Frohman, son of Mary who married the grandson of the great Charles Frohman of New York City who built a multi-million dollar theater syndicate throughout these great United States and Europe from 1880 to 1930. My great grandfather Charles Frohman journaled many accounts of his vast theater business and his travels with his best friend, William Hooker Gillette.

William was a true genius, aside from being the greatest stage actor in 1900, and the man who brought Sherlock Holmes to the stage. Designer, builder, inventor, mystery play writer, and scholar are but a few of his talents. He is one of those rare individuals' who blended high intelligence with life experience to give him an unerring path to the truth. His uncanny reasoning, sharp observation, and leaps of deductions have unraveled many enigmas.

William Gillette's legendary ability to observe the finest details and powers of deduction were witnessed by my grandfather Frohman, and faithfully journaled by his hand. There are stacks of these accounts, each tied together with burlap strings, and carefully stored in a hidden cedar lined steel box for a hundred years. Great grandfather Charles Frohman sequestered these accounts out of respect for his best friend's desire for privacy for 100 years.

This mystery takes place aboard a private steam train headed to Pheonix Arizona. There are only a handful of passengers and they are all involved in this murder mystery.
