Catholic Prayers

Prayer is a way to communicate with God our Father.

Jesus told us that "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:20
Jesus also prayed alone: "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." - Luke 5:16

We also know that Jesus prayed for others: "I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours." John 17:9

Given all that Jesus has taught us about prayer, we should try to build a good and strong relationship with God through prayer. We can prayer for ourselves, our intentions, and those of others. We can offer prayers of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, petition and intercession. We also know the power of prayer. Many miracles have come about as a result of prayer.
