Cavalier Magazine is an interesting study in the realm of twentieth-century magazines and photojournalism. The monthly, male-oriented publication was influential for its editorial content as well as replete with girly, nude photos. Among the more controversial pictorials was one of a young Jane Fonda. Another depicted actress' Ursula Andress' sister Kathy. In 1960 Cavalier was sued by Hungarian bombshell movie star Zsa Zsa Gabor. The suit lingered for a time before it was dropped without much fanfare. Through her attorney Gabor accused Cavalier of asking her indiscreet, probing questions she didn't want to answer about her background and affairs with men. One even asked her if she'd ever undergone psychiatric treatment.
