Nick Giango and his best friend, Frank Favasi, first met in 1960 when they enlisted in the Marines together as two seventeen-year-olds who wanted to make their Baltimore neighborhood proud. Four years and two honorable discharges later, they return home and spontaneously decide to join the police force.
