Eleven-year-old Chikka lives in a small village near Bangalore. In celebration of a good harvest he and his family go to the city. Chikka is dazzled by the sounds and sights of the big city. As life in the village becomes increasingly difficult, Chikka, like other boys of his age, yearns for adventure and excitement. He runs away to Bangalore and works with a family of four.
