Laney was living her best single life when her best friend persuaded her to attend a Valentine's Day event for singles at the Cummings estate. Ok, maybe she wasn't living her "best life" but she was happily single. Or was she? Laney tried to be optimistic, "maybe not happily single but somewhat content," she reasoned with herself. Well, if she were totally honest Laney was a shut-in workaholic that confessed her displeasure of being single one night after too much wine. Now she was flying with her bestie, Sugar, to the singles event.

Laney didn't plan on falling for anyone that night. Her plan was to stay in the background until it was over. She definitely didn't plan on catching the eye of two handsome strangers. Harland, the cowboy who wears his heart on his sleeve and Turner, the mysterious employee of the estate.
