This is a tool to help in reading the Bible through in a year. It may be started at any time and by clicking the links each day and doing the reading, you can easily read the Bible in a year with about a half an hour's time each day. The calendar links to Bible Gateway, NIV version. If you would like a different version, it's easy to change it once you get to that site. The calendar follows the Bible in chronological order giving you insight to what was going on as each of the profits wrote their word from God.
Reading the Bible seems like a monumental task, but it takes just 70 hours and 40 minutes to read the Bible through "at pulpit rate," and aloud. That's only 52 hours and 20 minutes to read the Old Testament, and just 18 hours and 20 minutes to read the New Testament. Remember, that's reading aloud like a pastor would read it from the pulpit
Even if you only read 100 words per minute (that's less than half the speed of the average 4th grade student) it only takes about 20 minutes a day to read the Bible through in a year.
