This volume contains all of the official documents that have formed the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Three basic documents led to the creation of the United Kingdom. They are the Magna Carta, the Petition of Rights, as well as the Bill of Rights. The documents approved before the U.S. Constitution was adopted included the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress, and the Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms.
