The friendly receptionist directed Anya to the department leader, Mr Brandon. She didn't know if it was his first name or last name, but most shifters didn't bother with last names. Anya checked the nameplate on the door before she knocked. A handsome, dark-haired man in his early thirties looked up from his papers and turned his attention to her. Could this really be the 'old grump' Darius had referred to? He didn't look old at all.
"Mr Brandon?" Anya asked, not sure if she had come to the right office.
"Just call me Brandon," the alpha said, getting up from his chair. Strolling toward her, she felt an instant need to back off as she realised just how much taller and broader he was compared to her.
