This is his way of letting God get to us and us getting to Him in ways that refresh our walk in Him. We need to stop blaming Him for bad things that happen to us and hold to those things that bless us on a daily basis. David is totally under the influence of all the old writers of the scriptures and gives great credit for F.B. Meyer in The Shepherd Psalms, Kelly, and Rufus Moseley. Most of David's readings for his writing come from books that are from 80 to 120 years old.
