This is the biography of a supersonic bird, a celebrity who rivals with the famous Jonathan the Sea Gull. The child of two old nations, France and Great Britain, who put aside (temporarily) their centuries old disputes in order to conceive the bird. He has engendered, more than any other: love, passion, jealousy, envy!
 The Americans and the Soviets tried to develop one: they failed. The first (perhaps by resentment) tried to hinder Concorde's USA career In vain: he lands in New York every day.
 The author, Jean-Paul Le Moël, one of the first Captains on board the Concorde, who terminated his flying carrier as Chief of the Air France Concorde crews, recounts with intimate knowledge and supple humor all the technical, political and commercial adventures encountered during the conception, the development, and the entry into regular service of this extraordinary bird!
