Jeremy Bentham was a British philosopher, jurist, social reformer and the founder of modern utilitarianism. He is in the row with the greatest thinkers Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill, John Keynes, John Locke, and Alfred Marshall. Their thoughts had strong influence on building the foundation of the United States and its endeavor of open society.

Jeremy Bentham invented the axiom of the greatest happiness of the greatest number. His writings emphasised the pursuit of happiness and freedom and became popular in the new republics of America and the other counties.

Jeremy Bentham devoted all the energies of his logical mind to the subject of Constitutional Law and was one of the greatest thinker to advocate a republican form of government. Although the book CONSTITUTIONAL CODE were first written between 1825 and 1826, it is undoubtedly his greatest. No branch of the science of legislation is left untouched by the great work. No part of the business of government, whether administrative or judicial, is escaped the grasp of his powerful mind.

Bentham's object was simply to include all the chapters on Law in general, and the various branches of law in the book. The book was apparently designed by Mr Bentham to give to the reader of the Constitutional Code, a clear and comprehensive idea of a complete body of law, or as he called it, the Pannomion.

Jeremy Bentham's work produced great influence on utilitarianism, philosophy, jurist, and economics. His view became widely recognised as the foremost philosophical voice of political radicalism and his influence has been felt in nearly every field of the humanities and social sciences.

This book is one of the most important ones about the constitutional code and the greatest happiness of the greatest number by Jeremy Bentham, one of the greatest thinkers of modern economics and philosophy on the planet.
