About the Author Donnilee Hernandez is a retired educator in Port Huron, Michigan. In her years as a teacher, principal, and university adjunct professor, she has a passion for families in distress. Mrs. Hernandez has a special place in her heart for the children demonstrating resiliency as survivors of these families in the educational setting. She wants their voices to be heard. She practices serving women and children (orphans and widows) in need in her community. Donnilee lives with her husband, Daniel, and their two dogs, Yorkie and Yoda.
