Coronavirus The Lockdown

The new Coronavirus is rife and spreading in our midst, and in the process has forced most nations to go into lockdown at the risk of facing massive, if not nationwide, infection. During these testing times, it is certainly a moment of unification, solidarity and team work while being in social segregation. While the slow down in the world economic activities and sufferings of infected people will be seen as detrimental, this period of lull provides a much-needed (forced) respite from the hurly-burly routine and serve as a period of reflection on the direction we are taking individually and as a society, on the opportunities and lessons in addition to means to contend with the challenges and setbacks.

The proliferation of viruses is not new for humanity and a flashback enumerates ghastly pandemics involving millions of casualties in our history. This book takes a deep look at the opportunities and lessons we can take from these health crises to delve into the profound topic of life's meanings, as opposed to just looking at the superficial treatment of the equally important topic of prevention of future occurrences by dealing with the obvious direct factors relating to the characteristics of the COVID-19 and how it propagates.
