Ever wake up on the wrong side of bed, or with the last thing you'd expect to wake up to? When Cade gets smashed at a house party and wakes up next to a cute blond surfer boy, things get a little awkward, and perhaps a little sexy!
(Length: 5291)

Me and Rory share a bunch of classes since we're both chemical engineering majors, and ever since Freshman year we've been study buddies. Even after we moved outta the dorms we still kept in touch and had dinner together often, just like we were scheduled to do so tonight. You'd think that after studying six hours a week together we'd be sick of seeing each other's faces, but Rory's actually pretty fun to be around. I mean, he throws wicked parties, after all.

As tempting as it is to just skip out on dinner, I didn't want him to think something weird went on. I just had to hope that he didn't bring his housemates with him.

Tapping my foot to keep from pacing around, I wait impatiently at the small nook of restaurants where we always meet. This was a bad idea. It's awkward enough just waiting anxiously for Rory and his crew to arrive. How much weirder is it gonna get if I gotta sit down with Niko at the table?

I'm kinda stuck in this mental limbo. Part of me wants to just duck around the corner and call up Rory, tell him I can't come tonight. Gotta make up an excuse that isn't shit, though. Another part of me is trying to convince the other half that this is just the anxiety talking. It'll be fine if I just forget about it and sweep it under the rug, I tell myself.

When I look up, there's Rory coming down the sidewalk, raising his hand in a friendly wave. Behind him are Niko and some guy I don't know. Don't think he was at the party.

Fuck.

Niko's pretty nonchalant as he approaches, with his hands in the pockets of his broad, baggy shorts. That mop of platinum blond hair is matted and damp, like he'd just stepped out of the shower ten minutes ago. He's got a blank, somewhat sleepy expression, without a trace of awkwardness or amusement in that "Heh. You had your cock in me last night" kinda way. Frankly, I'm kinda jealous of his composure. If he's just playing the dumb blond angle though, he's really fucking good at it.

The guy's dressed like he's at the beach again, with his lime green tank top and matching sandals. He's got pretty nice feet: tanned, high arches, with paler, creamy soles that I distinctly remember stroking while he bounced in my lap. His toes are long and graceful for gripping his surfboard. A woven bracelet is tied loosely around one ankle, and the other bears a tan line from his surfboard strap. I blink and refocus on Rory then... if he catches me staring he might think I've got a fetish or something.

"Sup, Cade," Rory says with a grin, "You in the mood for curry tonight?"

"What kind?" I glance down the row of restaurant signs. We've got Thai, Indian, and Japanese options, but no one really thinks of Japanese curry as anything close to the real stuff.

"I'm always up for Italian," Niko drawls in that rich Southern California accent. Despite myself, just hearing his voice again makes me blush.
