Cranked

When successful author Oliver White's literary agent informs him that his latest offering has flopped and that it would be in his best interests to 'Crank' things up a bit, Oliver makes the monumental decision to employ Jenny Hope, an escort agency girl, as a source of material for his new book, an erotic thriller entitled 'Cranked."
 

Enlisting the help of a mysterious family know only as the Dealers, with only a few chapters left to complete tragically poor Oliver meets his demise as 'Cranked' bizarrely begins to mimic Mr Oliver White's own colourful and somewhat voyeuristic lifestyle.

Torn to shreds by an unknown assailant in the apartment from which Oliver views Jenny's private sessions, Jenny becomes determined to find Oliver's killer and with only the book to go on and some inkling that whatever tore poor Oliver from limb to limb may not have been human, she makes the monumental session to track down his killer starting with The Dealers and their rather unusual shop.

Believing that in some way Oliver must have known his assailant, Jenny makes the decision to ignore Oliver's final wishes by removing the contents of his private safe, a decision she may come to regret as it now appears she's not the only one wishing to examine the contents because apparently so does Oliver's killer.
