The whole of God's creation is "earnestly waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God". The word 'earnest' here is apokaradokia in the Greek, and means 'anxious looking with outstretched body'. This is what the 'creature' of all class is engaged in. It has been so innate and integral with the 'creature' since the fall of man. That is how expectant they are about the manifestation of the sons of God. The reason for this is not far-fetched. Chapter One tells it, and then poses: if the rest of creation is thus stretched out expecting the manifestation of the sons of God, should humans and more so the saints, who are the primary beneficiary of this great phenomenon, be less anticipatory of it?

Chapter Two, "Creation groans for its Own Freedom which the Rapture signals" tells of creation's involvement in more than earnest expectation and eager wait for the manifestation of the sons of God: It groans as far as the manifestation of God's sons and the rapture that begins it is concerned. The whole creation of God groans. In the matter of the rapture (the coming first phase of this manifestation) and of its resultant freedom, the creature groans. It groans to be free from the age-long curse, bondage, helplessness and satanic manipulations brought upon it because of the sins of men.

All creation groans in pain and in anticipation of freedom and of the time when God makes all things new, when it (creation) will return to how God made it and intended it. Everything that has breathe, the trees and all plants and vegetation, even the seas and all water courses, the air and indeed all that God made and put on earth anticipate that day: a day they will join the saints of God in glorious freedom from filth, decay and death. They yearn for it! They are tired of the evil use Satan and his hosts have put it (nature) to; tired of how men have misused it with their so-called scientific discoveries and polluted it with their inventions; tired of the curse and all that came with it; tired of the toil and labor men have to put on a cursed creation to get scanty yields. Creation wants to really yield and give its best without encumbrance and without men endangering it with all kinds of labor and 'inventions of their fancy'. It is looking for that day the curse of Adam would be finally taken away from it and not just from men only. The rapture signals that day. So, it groans!

And if it groans how much more should we or the saints? And this we call the crux of the matter. And "The Saints groan to make the Rapture (Chapter Three) and "Holy Spirit helps the Saints groan concerning the Rapture" (Chapter Four) come helpful here.

Chapter Five introduces the core of the book: 'Manifestation of the Sons of God', and comes directly to the subject matter of the manifestation of the sons of God. Who are the people to be manifested as sons of God, eternal sons of God; who are the persons that are causing the earnest expectation, the patient waiting for of their manifestation among all creation? They are the people that have some initial basic qualification and resolve to belong to or remain with 'the generation that seeks the Lord'. And what is this generation that seeks the Lord? The chapter answers that. It also counsels on being among the few that will make Heaven eventually, for that is what to seek God is really about.

With this the book runs into very crucial matters of Christianity: Christianity as spiritual mountain walk; the fear of God, piety and nonconformity, the two manifestations of Jesus Christ and what these mean to the manifestation of the sons of God (Chapters 6, 7, 8 and 9). It concludes with three revealing chapters: "Saintly Counsels on making it at last!", "The Manner of the catching away of the Saints" and "A glorious Dawn!'!
