Thomas Love Peacock (1785-1866) was an English poet and writer who worked in the genre of satire. His works are dedicated to satirizing the customs and day-to-day life of his contemporaries. Peacock's writing style combines the elements of the mock-Gothic with those of the Aristophanic.
