Crypto Native is a unique action-packed memoir that chronicles Jonny Dice, a young man diagnosed with bipolar disorder after college graduation. This genre-blurring novella packs a serious punch, told by an unreliable narrator who takes us deep into his psyche as he battles the extremes of mania and depression while going to great and often bizarre lengths to chase his dreams of becoming a trader and survive.

Jonny's life is put on hold as he checks in and out of mental hospitals throughout his twenties with the hospitalizations seeming to have no end in sight. Through a series of stories and flashbacks, Jonny's struggles with bipolar, mania and depression have him grasping at smoke and mirrors and pursuing various risky endeavors. Trading crypto becomes the focal point of the story as Jonny trades to prove to himself that he can be a success after all the setbacks he's faced in life over the past ten years. Trading seems like the ticket out but after pouring everything he's got into it and more, Jonny is forced to become more introspective and begins to reconcile with his past, his relationships, and a higher power.

Jonny Dice is from the San Francisco Bay Area and started trading crypto in early 2015. He was a full-time trader from 2018 to 2023, while he balanced bipolar disorder along with the allure of trading. He is now focused on consulting, writing, and sharing his journey.
