In this series of essays, Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche offers the reader a guide to what he considers essential to the understanding of the path to enlightenment presented in the Buddhist teachings. The life of Padmasambhava, biographies of his twenty-five disciples and his female disciples help in the understanding of this development and transmission.
