Deptford 1960, is a deprived, inner-city area. A hop and skip from Central London. Lenny Wirral knows every bit of the roads and the locals. Plus any crimes performed - past, present or future. Lenny is a right old charver. He has his ear to the ground. Lenny is a pigeon, who occupies many stools.

Lenny hears about an impending, dodgy contraband shipment. Ferried in by a firm of American gangsters. They are using the River Thames to transport the bullion. Travelling straight through our sacred manor of Deptford? The cheek of these bloody Yanks!

There is only one sensible course of action? We will lighten these Yankee gangsters of their ill-gotten freight. The outcome? A cash jackpot and some up-to-date weapons. An "honest" capture of guns and ammo

This e-tale brings Lenny Wirral into sharp focus. It introduces Harry Harman and Eddie Emmons, who run the two top gang firms in Deptford.

Starring an egregious cast of criminal characters. Among their ranks are "Rubber Johnny" Johnny, " Welcoming" Winston, Hiver "Monkey" Johnny, Hughie "the Hoister", "Rotten" Ronnie French, Roddy "Destroyer" Dial, Goon and "Totter" Stratton.

Arriving in Deptford is guest of honour Apache Monaghan. He arrives for the much-heralded debut "Wild West" charity pageant. A beloved local favourite and a flamboyant Irish-Apache mix. This shindig will provide cover for the local bushwhackers. Planned while all the party hubbub in Deptford occurs.

The plucky USA contingent comprises of gang leader Horatio Nutt. Nutt has brought along his henchmen; Pezz "the Fezz", Henry "Wildman" Wildberth, Mr Walther K and Jamesy MacGonquin.

Representing the local police are Constable Harry Merkin and D.I. Richard Bigsby. On behalf of Scotland Yard, the double trouble team of Mickey Hendry and Tony Sales.

All in all, a wicked bunch of slags, who assemble to play rough and fight dirty. Comedic, tragic, violent, sour and sweet. Overlooking all this tawdry drama, are the smirking skulls. Which adorn the faded entrance to Saint Nicholas' Church.
