DESTROYER WORLD WAR III BOOK II THE WAR IN THE EAST

This is book two of the series, and it follows HMS Saracen as she sails East and a war that is soon to start.

This coming war was going to question the military power of the west like no other. Saracen steams eastwards as the Americans continue to build up their strength within the Region. And as she enters then Indian Ocean war with the PLAN now looks to be inevitable.

HMS Saracen was a Destroyer within the Royal Navy equipped with the standard weapons and sensors of today.There are no super weapons used, no fanciful, what we may have in the future type weapons, just the weapons that we presently have available and or presently actually in service, or are to come into service within the next three years on th etype 26 frigate etc.(confirmed weapons that have alredy come off of the production lines not hypothetical)

There are no sonarmen that can hear a shrimp in the throes of mating from twenty miles away,or radars that can track a Gnat at twenty miles, within these pages are the procedures and actions within the actual Operations room of a modern warship today.

All that I have written is within the public domain(not holywoods domain)even the codewords and weapon performances can be found easily with a simple web search.

I hope you have read book one in order to understand the continuing war in book II and it will all end in book III For ex warfare ratings they will understand the enviroment that the book is set in, however I did not want to go to deep into the procedures otherwise it could be a boring read.I also did not want to list every class and id number of every aircraft weapon or ship so I have sometimes used the generic term for the class of weapon or platform.

This book like the first is written around the Captain of the Sarcen. I have not gone to other commands or the ground war to flesh out the story. It is set on the Bridge and witthin the Ops room of a new Destroyer, that has just entered service, and in the real world a Captain of a minor warship would carry out his operational mission within his ship without knowing much of what was going outside of his hull except from summaries and the civillian media via the WWW.

So this is the Officers and Ships Company of HMS Saracen story as they go to war.
