Unity is not just a dream, it is a reality we all must seek.
In recent years, Kai A. Pineda, has begun to look at the climate of the church and started to pay attention. Having been afforded the opportunity to minister in various denominations and settings, she found the divide within the Body of Christ weighing heavily on her heart. While attending a conference in London, Kai became overwhelmed by what was clearly a problem. Those who stood before her speaking of unitythe speakers, worship leaders, and most of the staffwere all one race. Tired of personal preferences winning over biblical standard, Kai started to pray.
What began as an inner conversation with God quickly turned into real conversations with others seeking answers. While the climate of our world shifted and racial tension heightened, Kai wondered where the Church was. She decided to write a letter. The letter was not like her journals that always started with, Dear God. This time she would address the body she desperately desired to see transformed. Dear Church is not only a call to action, but a heartfelt message every follower of Jesus Christ should read.
