Dear Life: A Private Memoir

I'm not a celebrity.

I'm not in the spotlight, the media, or your television set. I'm an ordinary, everyday person. I'm a guy, and just like you... I'm only human.

Since childhood, I've been grappling with the long-term effects of bullying, poor self-image, isolation and discovering my sexuality. An over-controlling father, whose obsession with money, power and greed, eventually lead to my own financial destruction. 

I've lived through the disappointment, the heartache, the betrayal, the humiliation and the negativity. I've accepted that I'm never going to be perfect, or thin. 

But does that mean I don't deserve the right to be happy... and in love?

I've gone through this journey alone, trying to prove that there is love, hope and peace. What I never expected, was the abuse and trauma that I suffered which lead me on the road to my own personal self destruction.
