In this book, the author goes at length to prove that while socialization does play a role in gender differences, the fundamental role of the differences stems from sex differences which date back to conception. Once conception shall have taken place, the role of bringing about the gender differences (masculinity and feminity) between men and women is influenced by hormones secreted by gonads, that is, testes and ovaries in men and women, respectively. As a result of the misunderstanding of gender characteristics, some individuals establish relationships that should not have taken place.
