Déjà vu Nigeria is a fascinating stitch of excellent essays with seamless flow and exhilarating depth. From soft conversations to the deeply political and development issues, Obo Effanga has proved to be a consistent columnist and contributor to national conversation. These essays may not have individually made national headlines or attracted deep contentions. In this book form, they surely provide interesting intellectual and historical nourishment. Déjà vu Nigeria is a major contribution to our national discourse, it provides reflective, incisive, persuasive and in some cases hilarious perspectives to major and touchy national issues. It is a strong reminder that nothing has changed and nothing is new in Nigeria's social political and economic discourses.

-Hussaini Abdu,

Country Director, Plan International

Obo Effanga persuasively takes you through a brilliant and exciting journey detailing primarily what ails Nigeria and he leaves you with little doubt where his passion for his country belongs. There are few people who have demonstrated such exemplary grasp of national issues including prescribing solutions as you are bound to read in this rich collection. It invariably stands out not only as a historical document but also a literature work that would provide fresh insights and enrich research efforts of students of political economy and history.

-Joseph Ushigiale,
