When Melissa's daughter is dying of cancer and the doctors seem helpless to stop it, she and her husband make a deal with the devil to save their daughter.
But they misunderstand the terms of the deal, and Melissa is shocked when the devil comes to collect. Once Lucifer explains that she will conceive, bear, and raise his child, Melissa becomes hesitant. Her apprehension grows when he crawls into bed beside her, until she discovers that the Prince of Darkness is a master of everything sinful and pleasurable.
