The story follows Ahriel Wahan, who in his youth received the "gift" of Wornast, eternal life, and eternal youth, but also the curse and disgust of the human race. For several generations, he has followed his descendants in an attempt to protect them and preserve his lineage through bloody wars and the dark shadow that hangs over humanity.
