I could not spend my life advising the whole world under the pretext of helping travelers prepare for their future trip to India. However I was puzzled about the fact that going there was a bit like going to the moon. When you leave the touristic tracks, you may face very strange situations.
For a training in Hindu classical singing in Jaipur in May 2007, during which I stayed with a local family, I was plunged into a nightmare in which I could not find a way out. Upon my arrival, I quickly wondered if I would wake up in the morning. After a few days, I wondered how I was going to return to Paris safely. I kept a diary to tell my daily life and my thoughts. I put every detail in case my body would be found. The story that follows is an excerpt from my trip to Jaipur.
