But, when divorce enters the picture, teens feel more like their parents have essentially separated themselves from their children.

During a divorce, parents often become more consumed with their own issues. This leaves teens neglected during this unsettling, chaotic time in their lives. Oftentimes, this causes them to have to grow up much faster than normal.
