Shanel Howard, a single mother in Norcross, Georgia, is facing rejection from her family, particularly her father, Darren Nelson, whom she refers to as the "donor." After being laid off from her job at a marketing firm, she had to work at a burger shop and rely on food stamps to support her 4-year-old son.
