As Emily plowed through the surrounding shrubs, she started feeling a burn run through her chest, one that she used to feel on an hourly basis a couple of months back. She quickly yet surely tucked it underneath layers of practice and meditation at the back of her mind, and continued on the track assigned to her group by the leader, Josh. Josh has been sober for two years now; the medics at the AA thought it would be a suitable test for his long lost leadership skills.
"Emily, how are you holding up?" Anna said as she tied her jacket around her waist.
