Samuel has led a quiet life as a librarian, collecting stamps as a hobby and living a solitary existence. Now he's died, or come very close as he's still around, but largely disconnected from the rest of humanity. He exists with no purpose, though the appearance of people's death dates on their forms begins to torment him. Why can he see this information, and how they die, with what their final words are to the world ? He could be an angel of doom causing their deaths, or something far more mundane. An encounter with his long-dead great grandfather provides the truth.
