The Fates have tasked Jess Darrows with one mission: Code the next beast to be expulsed from Heaven. Jess feels they've made a huge mistake, given she still stands amongst the emotional rubble of losing everything she owned. As far as she's concerned, all life, both human and Otherworlder, is doomed if she doesn't find someone more competent for the job.
Zeke, owner of The Yards a shifter territory in the town of Bayside convinces Jess to return to the community that branded her a murderer. Cautiously optimistic and with judicial release in hand, she goes back to find peace may have been restored, but her newly purported innocence doesn't hold much weight when vulnerable Fae members are reported missing
With a beast to code, a vampire to restrain, and Fae folk to find, Jess finds herself flung into a world of supernatural drama and spirit realm machinations that will lead to betrayal, deception, and death.
