"Dutch Courage and Other Stories" - by Jack London is a group of London's short stories originally published in 1922 which were never before published in book form. The book is especially suited to the boy reader. "Dutch Courage" from which the collection takes its name, is the story of two boys on Half-Dome in the Yosemite Valley. Others include: "The Lost Poacher," "Chris Farrington-Able Seaman," "An Adventure in the Upper Sea," "Bald Face," "In Yeddo Bay," "Whose Business Is To Live," and "Typhoon Off the Coast of Japan"-London's first story, published at the age of seventeen.
